It starts in Kindergarten. A wiggly tooth, difficulty eating an apple, waiting and waiting, the excitement of your first tooth coming out, trying to fall asleep that night with a tooth under your pillow. Every family and culture has a different tradition - In Mongolia the tooth is fed to a dog or buried under a tree. In Iraq the tooth is thrown up in the air with a wish. In France, the lost tooth is left in a slipper for a mouse (La Petite Souris), who exchanges it for a gift. Recently, on the Lower East Side of New York City a new tradition began. A child lost her tooth and put it under her pillow. In the morning it was replaced by a tiny note, "Dear child, You will soon receive a special delivery...". Four weeks later, a small envelope arrived – the lost tooth had magically turned to gold! The little girl put it around her neck and hasn't taken it off since. Then her mom decided she loved it so much she asked the fairy to send her one too! *

The price of the solid 14k yellow gold pendant is based on the average size of a child’s first/baby front teeth. For most customers this will be $400 (chain/cord is sold separately). If the tooth is significantly larger than average we will contact you with a revised quote and you will be asked to pay the balance before fabrication begins. First Step
Before proceeding, please email us a clear photo of your tooth along with dimensions. Ideally, if you could send us a photo of the tooth next to a ruler , that would work best. We want to make sure there aren’t any issue before proceeding.

How much will it cost?
The price of the custom solid 14k yellow gold pendant is based on the average size of a child’s First/Baby front teeth. For most customers this will be $400 (chain/cord and engraving are sold separately). If the tooth is significantly larger than average we will contact you with a revised quote and you will be asked to pay the balance before fabrication begins. How long does it take to receive the gold tooth?

What is the process of turning my kid’s tooth into gold.
A mold is made of the Original Tooth which makes a exact replica of the tooth.
Is the original tooth plated with gold?
No, the original tooth is not plated with gold. We make a perfect replica of the original tooth and it is cast in solid 14k gold.
What happens to the actual tooth?
Our goal is to return your original tooth to you unharmed. However, there are aspects to the process that are out of our control. While we will make our best effort to return the tooth in its original state, we are unable to guarantee that it will be undamaged by the casting process (though to date this has not been an issue). Please note that Quarry Jewelry will not be held liable for lost or damaged teeth.
What is the packaging like when I receive the gold tooth?
Your La Petite Souris Charm will be placed in a QUARRY jewelry box. The Original Tooth will be placed in a small enveloped labeled “Original Tooth” inside the jewelry box.
Any chance you can put a small diamond on the tooth?

I just want the tooth but not the necklace, can I do that?
Absolutely - Just select “No Chain or Cord” option. If you would like only a gold keepsake without a loop to attach to a necklace, write us a message to let us know.
How is the tooth attached to the necklace?
We will solder a small and discreet jumpring onto the tooth, our goal is for the jumpring to be as invisible as possible so that the attention is all on the tooth. The jumpring size is .04” diameter x .025” wire thickness (1.2mm diameter x .64mm wire thickness). If you would like a specific sized jumpring, please let us know when you email us to get the shipping address.
I love this idea so much but I don’t have kids, can I send you my adult tooth?
Yes! Of course, the tooth is bigger so the price will be more but we are actually dying to do this so please get in touch. Email us at info@quarryjewelry.us
What do I tell my child when her second tooth falls out?
Up to you, could be amazing to make a charm of each tooth that falls out but if that isn’t your style just explain that it’s special first tooth magic only and subsequent teeth get money or presents or... create your own family tradition! (And please let us know, we love to hear your stories).
Are there other metal options other than 14k Yellow Gold.
No, for now we only offer this tooth keepsake only in 14k Yellow Gold. We will offer more metal options in the near future.
How many copies of each tooth can I make? Are you only able to make more than one?
We will make a mold of your child’s original tooth in order to cast it in gold. Once we have the mold we can make as many gold teeth as you like.
We already ordered one copy of my child’s tooth, how can I order more? Do I need to send you the original lost tooth?
We will store the mold of your child’s tooth in our studio for 1 year from the original order date. If you reorder within that 1 year, you can reorder more gold teeth without sending the original tooth back. If you send a reorder after 1 year, you will have to resend the original tooth.
I need the gold tooth for a gift right away! Can you do rush orders?
